Those completing GED facing year end deadline

News of upcoming changes to the GED test haven't deterred student Martha Brooks.

"As far as the 2002 Series test, you have until the new test comes out to finish the process," he said. Coastal Carolina Community College has begun now to let GED students know of the changes.

Public Information Officer Colette Teachey said individual letters have been sent out to approximately 400 people either currently enrolled in the GED program or who started the 2002 Series test at CCCC at some point and had not completed "Anaboliset Aineet" it.

She said the college is also working to get the word out to the community about the changes through the media, local Chambers of Commerce and other outlets.

There's still a year to go before the current test expires.

"That's why we want to let people know now so students now going through the process have plenty of time to complete the test," said

And with the 2014 test, there will be a number of significant changes.

The current test is made up of five parts: language arts writing, math, science, social studies, and language arts reading. The new Winstrol E Durateston Ciclo test will be four parts: reading and writing combined, science, social studies, and math.

The changes are also being made Tren 75 Stack to align the GED test with the new Common Core Standards adopted by North Carolina and most other states for K 12 students.

The GED test is changing to meet new standards with a focus on critical thinking skills.

"The GED now is stringent but now more fact based and reading based. The new test is going to have a focus on higher order thinking skills, thinking more critically," Collins said.

The 2014 test will offer dual performance levels, where test takers can earn the high school equivalency credential as well as an additional endorsement that indicates career and college readiness.

Another notable change will be the move away from tests taken with pencil and paper.

The 2014 Series test will be computer based only.

While students can continue to take the paper based test through 2013, the college will begin making the transition to a computer based test around the middle of next year to get ready for the 2014 change.
